I have to figure out this pulling up and standing thing. I've gotten pretty good at bear crawling for very short distances, but I haven't yet succeeded in making myself stand up. As you can see, I'm also working on climbing stairs.
I don't intend to be on floor level much longer, I can tell you!
My brother and I didn't get along very well over the weekend, but we've really been having a good time yesterday and today. My favourite time of the whole day is bath time. Benjamin taught me how to make massive splashes like cannonballs hitting the water, and we work together on soaking the bathroom. It is the funniest thing ever!
I splash so vigorously that sometimes I lose my balance and slip in the tub and my face goes under the water. And since I'm still trying to pull up during my bath, and I not infrequently slip doing that, my head has gone under water several times lately. Of course, mommy or daddy is always right there to help me back up immediately, but do you know what? I barely need them. When my face goes under water, I calmly pull it back up and sit up and blink and cough a bit, but I've never once cried because of it! I'm an underwater natural.
I love drinking water from my sippy cup now, too. I can hold it myself, although sometimes I get it upside down and then I can suck, but I don't get any water. Generally I figure out how to fix that on my own. I also know how to squeeze my sippy cup to make water come out of it without my sucking on it, and then I can get water everywhere and play slip and slide and splash without being in the bathtub! That's fun too.
